Our Discover Chinese Culture lunchtime workshops continued this week with another moment of calm and creativity at ¶º±ÆÖ±²¥. The Chinese Painting – Straight Bamboo session invited participants to capture the elegant strength of one of China’s most symbolic plants.

With gentle guidance, attendees learned how to express the bamboo’s upright posture and delicate leaves using traditional Chinese brush techniques. Each brushstroke reflected the qualities that bamboo represents in Chinese culture – resilience, integrity, and quiet grace.

The atmosphere was warm and reflective as everyone found their own rhythm in the flow of ink and water. By the end of the session, each participant had created a beautiful bamboo painting to take home – a personal reminder of balance and focus amidst the day’s bustle.
